How do our specialised translation services work?

Although the process may vary depending on the needs of the client, in general our approach is as follows:

The client requests a quote from us, using the online form or via e-mail and attaching the documents they need to translate and any other instructions they consider necessary. If we have any queries, we contact the client.

We check the documents and send the client a quote, taking into account factors such as the length and complexity of the text, the language combination and the time frame for delivery. Generally, we respond to the client on the same day that we receive the request.

If the client accepts our quote, they must pay a percentage of the price. This may vary depending on the total amount of the quote, the time frame for delivery, etc.

Once we have received the payment, the designated project manager will assign the project to the most suitable translator or translators, taking into account the language and the area of specialised translation (e.g. sworn, legal, technical, financial, etc.). We will then begin the translation.

When the translation is finished, the project manager will check it in order to make sure it complies with all of the client’s requirements, including format.

Once the project manager has made sure that the translation meets Ampersand’s quality standards, they will deliver it to the client on the agreed date. Translations are generally delivered via e-mail, although we can also use file transfer systems such as WeTransfer etc. or even deliver the materials by courier (e.g. for a sworn translation).
