Portuguese translation

Portuguese is the official language of Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Cape Verde, São Tomé and Príncipe, and East Timor – countries that form the Community of Portuguese Language Countries. It is also spoken in Macau and in certain parts of India. In terms of native speakers, it is the seventh most spoken language in the world, with over 190 million speakers.

At Ampersand, we work with professional translators who are native speakers of Portuguese, hold a degree in translation and interpreting (or similar qualifications, depending on their country of origin), have been trained by Ampersand, have extensive experience, and translate from various languages into Portuguese. Our Portuguese translators translate into the variant of Portuguese needed, because translating a text for Portugal is not the same as translating for Brazil. Both the language and the content need to be adapted.

Likewise, we collaborate with professional translators who are native speakers of the translation’s target language, hold a degree in translation and interpreting (or similar qualifications, depending on their country of origin), have been trained by Ampersand, have extensive experience, and translate from Portuguese into their native language.
