Translation - Galician
Our services in Galician
For translations and copy-editing, we have an in-house team of highly-experienced translators who hold degrees in translation and interpreting. This team is supported by other professionals with the same qualifications who collaborate with us on a project-by-project basis.
Even though we do work together with external translators, the fact that we have an internal team and the right technology to aid translation allows us to adapt to each customer’s needs, managing projects efficiently and coping with large volumes of translation whilst at the same time producing high quality and consistent results. In terms of style, as well as respecting the main style guides published in each language, we can adapt to each customer’s instructions on style and terminology in order to ensure that our texts are consistent with those already used by your company.
If you would like your documents to be linguistically excellent, in Galician or in other languages, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We’ll analyse your needs and recommend the best service for you.
Galician
Galican is spoken in Galicia, where it is one of the official languages, and in parts of the provinces bordering the region. There are also Galician-speaking communities in the rest of Spain and in some Latin American countries. It is estimated that over three million people speak Galician.
Uses of Galician
Even though the Galican market is small, offering products labelled in Galician or services in this language can be key to boosting sales. This is because it gives your company or brand a friendlier image and inspires empathy among the Galician-speaking target public. Therefore, it’s important to translate the company website, any promotional material, documentation for customers, etc. into Galician.
Linguistic quality
If you present a document written in a particular language, you want it to be accurate in terms of grammar, syntax and language use, but you also want it to sound natural and fluent to the reader. So, even if the text is already in the right language, it should be revised (or in our jargon: proofread) to ensure a high-quality result. Texts written in other languages and that need to be translated into Galician should also be reviewed to ensure they meet the linguistic criteria of the target language.
This requires the services of language professionals with the right qualifications: with degrees in translation, or with demonstrable experience... there’s more than one way to do it. For Galician, the best approach is to find professionals who are native speakers of this language.
