Danish

Danish is a Scandanavian language spoken by approximately six million people. It is the official language of Denmark and one of the official languages of Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Uses of Danish

Even though the Danish market is not very extensive, it’s important to offer products labelled in Danish or services in this language to give the company or brand a friendlier image and to inspire empathy in the Danish-speaking public.

Linguistic quality

If you present a document written in a particular language, you want it to be accurate in terms of grammar, syntax and language use, but you also want it to sound natural and fluent to the reader. So, even if the text is already in the right language, it should be revised (or in our jargon: proofread) to ensure a high-quality result. Texts written in other languages and that need to be translated into Danish should also be reviewed to ensure they meet the linguistic criteria of the target language.

This requires the services of language professionals with the right qualifications: with degrees in translation, or with demonstrable experience... there’s more than one way to do it. For Danish, the best approach is to find professionals who are native speakers of this language.
