For example, computer help files have a hypertext structure with content that has no beginning or end. Profit and loss accounts found in the financial world and product safety data sheets used in the technical field are highly structured and repetitive documents. They use technical expressions which must be understood and translated with precision (through specialised computer applications), due to their legal, economic and safety implications. Patents have a simple, formal layout but they also have a distinctive structure. Very specific wording is used which cannot be translated in a literal or creative way but must adhere to the legal language of patents used in each language.
